Use of the Rivervale Service and MOT Website
Information on Our Website
The completion of a booking, and the subsequent receipt of a confirmation email for a car service, MOT, repairs or any future offering by Rivervale Cars Ltd constitutes a binding contract between the Customer and Rivervale Cars Ltd.
All person(s) using either the Rivervale Service and MOT website or calling Rivervale by phone to make a booking should be at least 18 years of age and reside in the UK.
Rivervale Cras Ltd shall provide the customer with detailed costing information of their car servicing before any work is started. All work and costs, including additional work following a vehicle health check, must be approved by the customer before said work is carried out.
It is always the intention of Rivervale Cars ltd to complete the Customer's car service, MOT or repairs within 1 day. Sometimes - due to reasons beyond the control of Rivervale Cars ltd - late delivery may be necessary. Should this be the case, the customer will be advised accordingly by a service advisor.
All additional work is subject to VAT as required by UK law.
Oils, Fluids and Lubricants
Depending on your vehicle's make and model, specialist oils (longlife oil or low ash/saps oil) may be required for your service. All specialist oils have different prices and you may have multiple options available.
Depending on the level of fluids at the point of service, a fluid top up (gear box oil, axle oil, transfer box oil (if applicable), under bonnet fluids, break fluid, antifreeze and clutch fluid) may be required. If a fluid top up should be required, you will be charged and this will be itemised and added to your final bill.
Manufacturers Parts, Bosch Parts
All parts used will adhere to the vehicle manufacturers' service schedules, and will be of OE quality - thereby ensuring all manufacturers' warranties are validated.
Rivervale Cars Ltd will fully support your vehicle's service history. Upon completion of the service your vehicle's service book will be stamped, a copy of the service schedule will be provided and, if relevant, digital service records will be updated. If we are unable to update your service history we will notify you before carrying out any service work.
Warranties and Guaranties
All vehicle servicing performed by Rivervale Cars ltd carries a 6-month (or 6,000 mile- whichever comes first) warranty. The warranty covers replacement parts - should they be defective - or related workmanship.
The warranty is dependent on: Rivervale Cars Ltd being given an opportunity to investigate and rectify any faults within a reasonable timeframe; The manufacturer's vehicle operating instructions being followed; Ensuring the vehicle is serviced at a frequency recommended by the manufacturer (for the relevant time and distance); Full compliance with Rivervale Cars Ltd advisories, warnings and information or any instructions provided by Rivervale Cars ltd; The parts or workmanship performed by Rivervale Cars ltd not being subjected to abnormal conditions or unreasonable wear and tear.
Loss or Damage
Rivervale Cars ltd does not accept any liability for damage, losses or theft resulting from the storage of customer vehicles at Rivervale Cars ltd garage.
As a customer, you are entitled to cancel a booking or request for additional work up until the day of your service. This can be done by contacting us on 01273 433480. We will refund you the full amount - if any payment has been made - minus any deductions for any work that was completed.
Collection and Delivery
Rivervale Cars ltd offers free vehicle collection and delivery, to book this service please request with a service advisor at the time of booking and a collection and delivery time window will be agreed. If unforeseen circumstances cause the vehicle to be collected/delivered outside these times, the customer shall be updated by a Rivervale Cars ltd representative. If your vehicle is undrivable then recovery will need to be arranged. If desired, Rivervale Cars ltd can provide quotations for the cost of vehicle recovery from the nominated collection address. Alternatively, this can be arranged independently either with your insurance provider or a vehicle recovery company of your choosing. Vehicle recovery is not included within our free collection and delivery service.
Under new MOT test regulations - effective 20 May 2018 - a vehicle with defects classified as 'dangerous' may not be driven on public roads in England, Scotland or Wales unless corrective work is undertaken. If the defects remain unfixed, legally the vehicle may not be driven from the test centre either by Rivervale Cars ltd - as part of prearranged delivery, or by the customer or any third party. The vehicle may be collected via a recovery service arranged either privately or via Rivervale Cars ltd, at a cost to be incurred by the customer. A vehicle with defects classified as 'major' will only be delivered at the discretion of the garage; Rivervale Cars ltd may ask the vehicle owner to either collect or arrange for the vehicle to be recovered.
In the event of a courtesy or replacement vehicle being offered to the customer for the duration of the service; this will be subject to the servicing garage's insurance. If the event of a claim on the insurance, the customer will be liable to pay the excess on the claim. Before taking possession of the replacement/courtesy vehicle, the customer must agree to all terms and conditions of the said policy put in place by the servicing garage. In the event of insurance not being applicable to a replacement/courtesy car, the servicing garage will inform the customer that they are responsible for providing their own insurance.
Rivervale Cars ltd shall not be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to item(s), valuables or monies contained within the vehicle for the duration of the contracted work - including vehicle collection and delivery.
Rivervale Cars ltd is not liable for any loss, damage or delay in the services it provides should such services be subject to: an act of God, industrial action such as strikes or government disputes, factors outside the control of Servicing Stop Ltd.
If an invoice remains unpaid we may pass on your details to an external collection company and all additional fees incurred will be the liability of the customer not Rivervale Cars ltd
Rivervale accepts payment via most major credit or debit cards, where registered to UK addresses. We do not accept American Express. We are unable to accept any other form of payment online.
Due to the nature of certain Services there may be additional costs if additional work has been undertaken on a vehicle (for example, during a MOT) which must be paid upon collection of the vehicle. We will never carry out any additional work on a vehicle without your prior consent.
The price of the Goods and Services is excusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rate chargeable in the UK. If the rate of VAT changes between the date of Order and the date of delivery, we will adjust the VAT you pay unless you have already paid for the Goods or Services in full before the change in VAT. The prices shown are only applicable to purchases made via the Website. On occasions, the prices payable and promotions offered online may differ from those prices and promotions offered at the same time in Rivervale.
Special Offers and promotions advertised in the press or other media may be excluded from the Website unless specifically advertised as available online. All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last. This includes all offers advertised via official Rivervale social media channels.
Offers cannot be used in conjunction with one another. Where more than one offer is available on the same product only one discount will apply. The offer giving the greatest saving will be applied in the basket. Equally, voucher code offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer. Proof of memberships allowing for discounts may be required.
All quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue, unless they include a specific promotional offer which has an earlier expiry date. The expiry date of promotional offers will be clearly marked.
Once Services have started you will be informed immediately of any additional work identified. A new printed quotation will be produced on request and additional work will only be carried out with your agreement.
For the safety of our technicians and our customers, all vehicles fitted with dash cameras or recording devices must be switched off before entering the workshops.
Removal of Parts
With the exception of warranty and service exchange parts, removed parts will be disposed by Us. Disposal will be in accordance with current environmental regulations and legislative requirements. A fee may be charged for this service.
All trademarks, service marks, and trade names that appear on this website are proprietary to Rivervale Cars Limited, companies within its group, or other respective owners. Trademarks should not be copied without our prior written permission.
We are independent specialists for both Mazda and Mercedes Benz.
We are permitted to provide independent specialist services for Mazda and Mercedes Benz vehicles.
We are authorised to offer full manufacturer services on all Mazda and Mercedes Benz vehicles.
All independent specialist servicing is carried out by brand specialist master trained technicians using all the latest official diagnostic equipment (MDS and Xentry STAR) and genuine replacement parts, without affecting manufacturer warranties.
All specialist service work carried out at Rivervale is uploaded to your official Mercedes Benz (DSB) or Mazda (DSR) digital service book or record.
